Group Sessions

All clients work with a therapist one on one.

With children's therapy parent/s are expected to be present in the session. Children progressing well in individual therapy may be invited to attend group therapy sessions like Drama Therapy to transfer skills to a social setting. Group sessions provide a safe space for children to test their skills, grow confidence, connect socially and build resilience and self-esteem.

Assessments

Acua works with practitioners to conduct observations (informal), diagnostics and assessments (formal) for conditions, disorders or disability. These assessments inform therapy interventions to give each client the best possible outcome.

Practitioners

Acua practitioners are either Clinical Counsellors, Psychologists or Educators. This combination of therapy and education has resulted in interventions which have helped many children adjust, grow and overcome hurdles.

NDIS

Children with a disability are welcome. Acua provides all NDIS clients with Invoicing to claim their therapy.
