Angela Maplestone

Angela is a qualified secondary teacher who has worked in the education sector for over thirty years in a variety of different roles. She worked as an English teacher in secondary schools for 15 years, then in a range of marketing and senior management positions in the Higher Education sector for 21 years. She has a breadth of knowledge of the schools sector (Primary and Secondary) and developed close working relationships with numerous schools in her roles . 

 

Angela operated her own Drama Academy for three and a half years where she developed programs focussed on developing communication skills through dramatic expression and saw the positive impact of such activities on the increased confidence and ability of children to communicate effectively .

 

Angela works with clients who require additional support in reading, writing, speech and mathematics. 

 

She brings her vast experience and understanding of the education sector to her role with Acua.

 

Angela's personal style is warm, engaging and passionate and builds upon her significant educational practice as both teacher and leader. Angela is acknowledged in the therapeutic field as a lead consultant and trainer in expressive therapies (Art, Drama, Speech and Play Therapy).
